Hi there!
My name is Nicole aka NikkiD, I am a Pole Dance Instructor and the Creator and Owner of PolEssentials; the evolution of combining my Brands

Gel Knee Pads Australia & Heel Wrapz.

A lover of low flow and Old School, I was continuously frustrated by multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) attempts of trying various knee pads on the market.
For me, it is truly a struggle to even sit in a kneeling position without my bone literally acting as a seesaw, let alone to dance on my knees with no protection (hello Osgood-Schlatter Syndrome dancers, I see you!).

I tried all types of foam or foam/"gel" combinations, until it got to the point where I thought I wasn't "tough enough" or that my body somehow wasn't as good as other dancers that were fine with normal knee pads.

I attacked my knee pad and hand sewed in my old chicken fillet bra into the pad section. I thought, this makes sense because it's so soft to touch yet I can't feel the other side when I squeeze it. The first time I wore them I thought maybe it was just a fluke and I'd be bruised again in no time, but you know what, it was the point of no return! So, in Feb 2023, Gel Knee Pads Australia was born and here we are!

This idea then developed into custom designing my own completely brand-new product, our Grippy Gel Knee Pads design! With a new longer and solid gel pad that can grip to the pole as well as remaining super comfortable.

Being a dancer myself, I know how taxing it can be on your body, and how pricey all of the outfits, shoes, classes, costumes (the list goes on!) can be. I have done my best to provide free and discounted shipping, and to reflect great overall prices for completely custom designed top-quality and world-first products.
